Who would you rest for keighley : Tue Mar 31, 2009 12:44 pm
I would rest the 2 main Props in sarge and Feather. If Boyle is fit i would give him a runout.

Also anyone else who is not 100% should be rested.

This would be a good game to give widders a full run out and not just 10-15 mins from the bench and give James Ford a go on the wing.

TM says we'll be fielding the "strongest fit team"

Make of that what you will.

Rest sarge, feather, shifty, shenny, evans and jones.

Give arundel, gledhill, boyle, davies, ford, thompson and wainwright (if fit) a run out.

I would also try owen at fb, to build up his confidence there.

As far as possible I'd leave positions unchanged. Players need to use this game to continue gelling in the positions Terry wants them playing regularly.

While acknowledging tb's point, I suspect we'll not see Shenton, Sherwin, Sargent, Ferres or Westerman.

I'd line up with:

1. McGoldrick
2. Owen
3. Ford
4. Arundal
5. Thompson
6. Faumuina
7. Chase
8. Massey
9. Netherton
10. Huby
11. Harris
12. Widders
13. Westerman

14. Sargent
15. Hudson
16. Gledhill
17. Boyle

Shenton and Sherwin would be unnecessary risks against Keighley.

Ferres is injured, Jones deserves a rest, as does Evans.

I would give Jones and Evans the weekend off again to get fully fit, flu is a bugger to over come. Also id probably give Sherwin and Sarge/Feather 1 or ther other a weekend off.

That said putting in Arundel, Massey, Boyle (who played well for 21's saturday) and Ford, who could do with a run out.

I would agree with this team line-up. I do also think we should keep the momentum going and keep gelling the players but its an pointless risking injury, when we can beat keighley with most of reserves
