I don't think this one can be laid at Alibert's door - isn't the management of subs the job of a touchline official; as I understand it, they hold up a card and don't hand it back until the player coming off is actually off the field.

Someone is due a bollocking, but I don't think it'll be Uncle Albert - at least not for this particular incident.

Of course it needs investigating but surely it's the official on te side who's job that is? I'm a Salford fan and was at the game, there is a official who's only job as far as I see every week is to count the replacements & let them on & off. If he was doing his job right it wouldn't have happened. If we end up losing te points in will be outrageous, it wouldn't have affected the game as muc as you lot having 12 men so we were due an extra man anyway!!

As bad as halibut is, how is this his fault? He may count them on the commencement of both halves but after that he's a little too busy to be constantly counting.
