I've tried to come up with a number of composed, intelligent, well intentioned and well argued responses to this, but I just can't get into words what I want to say...other than: 'No. Thanks for asking and all that. I'd rather spend my hard earned on my own club or my amateur club. Not on boosting the crowd figures and revenue of a rival team that I have absolutely no affiliation with. Cheers.'

That doesn't sound like the rather hostile and abusive welcome most of us were subjected to when we last visited in 2007. Not a place I've really any intentions of going to again.

I don't see why we should hold back on our feelings about this lot. We cancelled the Boxing Day friendlies against them solely because they weren't worth the trouble that they always brought with them. It's probably the last place on earth I would consider going to again, some (not all) of thier so called fans are the most abhorent individuals I have ever come across.
