I thought along those lines myself when reading his comments the other week ie. could his negative comments about a club come back to bite him so to speak when that club uses his comments as extra motivation the next time they play Cas?
On balance I don't think it'll make any difference. He never bags any club to the extent that the players would think "how dare he - I'll show him!".
I suspect us fans make more of comments by other coaches as a motivating factor than players do. If SL players require an opposition coach to say something mildly negative about them to get 'em motivated for a game then they shouldn't be professional sportsmen...
