I'm working ont Railways not far from Salford, i'll try and keep you updated to weather changes as we'll know them as they happen.

-6 here in cas this morning.
Ground frozen solid. Hope the covering on the ground keeps it soft enough to play on....and the snow asnt even arrived yet.

only minus 3 in salford overnihgt.....warming up now and NO frost Ice this morning....Looking good!!

There even saying the snow will miss most of the North West now - hope to see thousands of you later. Safe journey.

Snow predicted between 3-8 pm now unfortunatley.

I think the 'snow' predicted...is meanty to be quite light and should melt....either way ground staff are saying game on...that will do me!

go to bbc.co.uk travel news and look on the traffic jam cameras all the way to salford.up to the minute pictures..... yes i am a weather anorak

Been looking at that too myself. Seems ok on the roads. Fingers crossed they stay that way and the pitch does too.
