Hi guys,
Sounds like you're bringing a few already but here's something which may persuade a few more?!?

The club have planned quite a big day for the first big game at the new ground. Starting at 2pm there will be a fun fair outside the ground with fans bars set up outside too. Face painint for the kids (and any big kids too ). A parade of former Salford greats prior to kick off and the final appearance of Ignito

At half time there will entertainment from X factor finalist Amelia Lily. So probably something for everyone!

Pre match drinks can be outside the ground if you like but an alternative would be via Eccles RLFC as mentioned on another thread and just down the road from there on the way to the ground are a few pubs, including the Unicorn which serves Joseph Holts a nice local brew.

I will be enjoying the game with an old uni mate from Cas in the main stand hope to see plenty of you there too (although I hope you leave empty handed in terms of points of course ).

Enjoy the new place, it isn't spectacular but it is a tidy ground and I hope you like it!

I'm with bigalf on this one - I suppose I can understand why the turgid talent shows that seem to have become a national obsession have become the go to source for pre-match entertainment at RL grounds, given that there's bloody loads of 'em and they're cheap, but they are very definitely not for me; we had Danyl Johnson at our place last season - I arrived just before KO instead of my usual half hour or so, to be certain I would miss him.

Miserable old git? Yes, I believe I am.

Under 20s game Salford vs Cas at 3.45pm as well.

It can be a good earner for the performer. Diversity got £14,000 when they performed at Belle Vue. Mind you, they put 3,000 on the gate, and even at a kid's rate of £10, it was a good move financially.
