Considering Mr Nahaboo's, or should i say PROBIZ sponsorship involvement within the game i would hope not to see him as a potential owner/controlling stake holder at the Tigers until his company's sponsorship involvement with other teams in the game are over and current deals have expired, regardless of the games own rules and regulations.Speaking purely from 'personal opinion' im very uncomfortable with the way PROBIZ are going about
''building strength and links with governing bodies''
i for one could understand a desire to become involved with sponsorship, from a 'PROBIZ and Tigers' point of view, with the RFL/Superleague/Championship/Challenge Cup and Internationals but dont understand the need for sponsorship of individual clubs who are members of the game and the benefits to the Tigers in being
''active and supportive of the leading sides''
I have considered previous statements stating Feisal's desire to learn from the way a 'champion' club operates would help to develop the Tigers to succeed in there goals and ambitions however fail to see how without in depth involvement with these clubs over a long period of time would produce the required knowledge to achieve this, and in the short/medium term fail to see how generating more income for a club we already aspire to emulate gives us a better chance of doing so - surely that extra income into 'his own' Club to unable us to compete would be wiser spent to achive this goal.
These a few points i considered over the sponsorship of Wigan, to then become involved in sponsorship with Featherstone was a real slap in the face to long standing fans who are well aware of the 'history' at this club people refer to, after viewing t.v yesterday afternoon mouth wide open after the presentation and reading Feisal's comments
''I was in awe of the win and built good relations with players and club in build up of campain''
i fail to understand the benefits of assosiation with the club for the Tigers or PROBIZ (want exposure at that level, sponsor the Chapionship itself) unless that its Feisal's intention is to use the Rovers as feeder club to ourselves in future, maybe there is some thing Fev bring to the table im missing (if our ambition is to drop into the championship and spend an eternity trying to get out of it i would understand) and please dont critisise this line as being inconsiderate or lacking respect after the statement
''We ran a joint campaign to support families who saw loved ones killed''
This relates to one individual area of help/sponsorship that can be demonstrated in many ways and does not answer general sponsorship of the club itself.
Sorry for going on, and on this point i will stop if nothing else to prevent making any further comment that may cause any personal upset to Feisal himself, i say this as i see this statement as a threat to fans who speak out of line -
''Fans can drive our sponsorship and support out of the club''
yet follows with a statement of
''But they cannot and won't stop me being a fan''
Sorry but the two statements contradict each other and if i were to be in a financial position to help/support the club 'i love' what i or any other individual fan had as an opinion would not deter me from putting my money where my heart is to try achieve the best for the club.
I dont want to be seen as rocking the boat or trying to cause trouble, however i have a right to an opinion and am only saying what i see - i cant thank Feisal enough for what he has done for our club to date, i understand he is a business man and his priority lies with his Company, i only question decisions made that are not in the interests of our club, just in the interest of PROBIZ.
