Depends what you're looking for in terms of a holiday. Lloret is favoured by most of our mob largely due to a historical accident (when we first played in there in 2006, the match was due to have been in Girona - but got moved). CST arrange buses, I suspect largely because there's a lot of people involved. What the minimum no of Widnes fans would need to be for them to do a transfer from Lloret to Perpignan you'd have to check with them.
I've never stopped in Lloret, but I gather most of our fans stop in a all-inclusive resort, which makes a drinking weekend cheaper
If you fancy a different type of resort, or think Lloret is too far away if arranging your own travel, there are a couple of resort towns/ villages on the French coast ([url=http://en.argeles-sur-mer.com/tourisme-sommaire.phpArgelès[/url and [url=http://www.collioure.com/gb/index-gb.htmCollioure[/url in particular, both with direct train connections to Perprignan, or even [url=http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/Europe/France/Languedoc_Roussillon/Canet_Plage-132007/TravelGuide-Canet_Plage.htmlCanet Plage[/url, the closes to Perpignan and a short bus ride).
We've spent our last few summer hols in Collioure - it's a quieter town. As I say, it depends on what sort of holiday you fancy.
On prices - like most of Europe, if you're going to drink beer by the pint, you're going to pay for it. On the other hand, you can get a half-litre carafe of local wine with a meal for €4-€6.50.
