I've been really impressed with Steve Snitch and Paul Jackson so far this season, Jacko is twice the player he was last time he pulled on a Cas shirt and Snitch has been a revelation, let's hope both of them steer clear of injury.

Got to congratulate whoever it was that signed them, not sure if it's down to TM or even RW, but shrewd signings both of them!

Might both have had decent starts to the season but there not making us a better team.

There are a few players doing very well this season, but it's not making us a better team

I agree with the Snitch and Jacko comments

Also think McGoldrick has done well over the last 2 games, he just needs backing up more when he does make a break

It's probably due to the lack of depth in the squad, which unfortunately I believe is biting us already (and has been since before round 3). At full strength we have a very good 17, but lose a couple and we're struggling.

I agree - there doesn't ever seem to be anybody anywhere near him when he makes a half break.

So we can congratulate TM and RW for signing Snitch and Jackson, but then have a go at them for not putting together a squad with strength in depth?

I think there's a difference between strong squad and strength in depth. I believe what have in terms of our current squad is strong, in that most of the players are solid and reliable. The downfall comes when we begin to pick up injuries where the lack of depth severely weakens what we have available.
