Did I read somewhere , way back ealy this year, that he had been arrested for for some type of drunken affray in a local club / pub and had spent a night in the cells.

Anybody able to shed any light on this, possibly not charged , what was the punishment from the club, did it really happen or was it just poor reporting. If it did happen and he has again stepped over the mark then I bet the people at the club who trusted him to sort his life out will be fed up with him now.

Is the clubs disciplinary policy rigorous enough. Should the club be able to punish an employee for a drink related offence that took place outside of work hours and away from the rugby club. Are players always representing the Rugby club when they are out in public ?

Only question I can answer and that answer is yes. Even when injured the players are representing the club

I agree and would presume that this is somehow reflected in the players contracts and would think that this type of alleged behaviour could be a breach of contract that would allow the club to terminate his contract.

I would expect (hope) the club have a clause in players contracts that states, should they commit a crime or anything along those lines, Including getting in to fights etc, then they are discplined or at worst contracts terminated

Sorry guys ,this thread is now locked ,until there is or isnt some official comfirmation of the rumours, The club says Sione is injured and to avoid any potential remarks getting out of hand we must accept that to adhere to the AUP section 1.1.2a
