| Who will be Cas' number seven on Friday if Danny is injured? I don't know anyone really who can paly in the halves, and Milner from what I gather is terrible there

| Brierley would be a lot of peoples preferred choice but there's McGoldrick too.

| IM's decision could give us an insight to his wider forward thinking. I suspect most of us are expecting the tried (tired?) McGoldrick/Chase combo but would be more enthused and optimistic about the future direction if Brierley was given a chance.

| I don't think it's an issue of who plays at 7, more an issue of where leadership and direction is going to come from in the team. The need for Hudson to be out there putting in a big performance on Friday is absolutely essential.

| Hudson to 9 with Clarke and Milner to 7, also remember Ferres is back and Arundle so the spine of the team will be alot stronger and more experienced.
Add that to Milward back to steer the ship and not relying on an assistant that has only been in the role a few months we will be more organised.
That being said still dont think we will win but should be better.

It's a bit 'old school' for some to handle, however I still like to see someone taking control and being a vocal captain on the field. A season or two ago, whenever Hudson left the field, Cas's structure fell to pieces. Although Hudson may be a shadow of what he used to be in terms of speed and fitness, I'm hoping he can still do a good job as an on field leader on Friday.

| Hudson in at 9, Chase stays at 6. Milner to start at 7 and Clarky off the bench for Hudson/Milner. Brierley also on bench maybe ?

| Not buying the hooker to half argument, especually without a ball handling specialist loose. We could kind of get away with it when we had Vowles at 13 for example, becuase he went there from 6. I don't think given we play 3 back rowers we can get away with it. Likewise, if you have Kidley, Stewart, Minichello at full-back to add to your line, but we don't. So I would rather play a junior who simply playes pivot and let Rangi play Stand Off proper to run round them and roam as opposed to Danny and Rangi and play a left and a right.
If we have a specilaist half we rate in the junior competition, then if we dont give them a shot we are kicking all the juniors and scolarship players in the stones.
We could play McGoldrick there and then get the right Second Rower a stretcher booked for their drop off in the inside channel with a red cross on it every set.
In Basil we trust.

| Can see it being McGoldrick myself, but I don't think he offers us much in that position.
