| Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere (although I've personally failed to notice anything) but whilst most supporters are sharing a Cas/Wakey love-in I think one of us could still be under threat:
I'm massively concerned by the disclaimer at the beginning of yesterday's announcement; along the lines of:
'Super League has always had the power to remove a club at any stage of the licence but this time around clubs will be under much greater pressure to fulfill their promises'
If I understand this correctly then any long-term delay in the construction of our stadium (for instance by the end of next season we've not really progressed and Wakey were to get their's up and running) - we could be kicked-out to allow some other club (Crusaders Mk2?) to come in.
This is not intended as being negative towards the club (I think we've earned another 3yrs and Wakey have pulled off the biggest of flukes - had they gone I'm sure they'd never have caught up with us again - instead, I believe the race for survival has now gone back to an equal footing despite everything we've done right and they've done wrong).

| Plenty of worries, we need to get the stadium up asap. We might not get kicked out, but the threat will always be there, not to mention the lack of five figure attendances...

I think there is something in this , crusaders/rfl are playing the long game. They will be back with a sl club in wales i am sure- and i reckon it will be at the expense of a club that does not fulfill the promises set out in said clubs franchise application. In short I think wakey or cas have just been given a bit more rope to hang themselves in terms of stringing the rfl along about stadium plans which are not getting any closer to completion .

I think you might have a lead there, but don't rule out the wire at this stage. Mind you we've heard nothing specific so no noose is good noose.

| I agree with the OP and will live in fear of the early revoke clause until GH is under construction. Wakey will have taken heart from their latest escape and could even be forgiven for thinking the RFL want them in SL regardless (had they been as desperate to get rid as Wakey fans claimed they could easily have done so by excluding both 'admin' clubs and admitting Halifax). I just have the feeling that had we been in Wakey's shoes the RFL would have jumped at the chance to manufacture a situation whereby the one club in WMDC had Wakefield in it's name.

| I dont think you lot have anything to worry about as your getting your ct together with the ground. I think Wakey will be watched closely and if they fail to start working on the future Halifax will get given the nod

| I think it's a threat hanging over both our heads to deliver on the grounds.
The first signs of either of us looking like we won't deliver and woodsy and Lewis will be circling over head!!
Which in all fairness is probably fair.

| I don't think this equation has changed much - Wakey's unfortunate plight eased our worries this time - but it was simple last time around and will be simple again now: (Apologies for words in CAPS, but I just want to avoid a plethora of moaning, trolling and telling me I am a clown - its my opinion)
There is unlikely to be enough investment, will and corporate funding and partners to sustain 2 multi million pound single use minority sports stadia within a few miles of each other. IN MY OPINION ONLY - that is a fact.
So, given that assumption on MY PART - It has been the same for the last 4 years - whoever seals the deal, delivers the plans and pours their concrete first secures the future, WHICHEVER club does that first in essence sinks the others battleship IN MY VIEW.
Stands to reason to me, the business challenge for Cas, and we seem to have more of our heads screwed on these days and be managing our departments like a business, is to make it happen, anything less and I think we will get what we deserve.
These views are mine and my opinions only, I don't know anyone, a club insider didn't tell me anything and I am probably wrong!

| I think that's fair enough, as long as both clubs are trotting on nicely (and I don't see why either can't) I don't see it being a problem for both clubs to deliver new stadia, the threat is there IMO if one or both clubs plans start to go wobbly.
