Exactly right. Simon may very well turn out to be a very good coach and there is no doubt it felt from the outside that he really needed that extra bit of help. As it was I just don't know how anyone can really say he was successful last season. Eighth in the league, in the second division. His signings included Martin, King, Rawsthorne and Springer. Add on the debacles at Widnes, Barrow, Batley amongst others and finishing with the Swinton game. It puzzles me how he is so highly regarded after that lot. Perhaps the Wembley win, it was a wonderful weekend mind, clouded people's judgement?
