I would go with exactly same 17 although possibly starting with Morris instead of Tangata - I personally feel that's are strongest possible 17 out of the current squad. Really like what I've seen of Hewitt so far - reminds me of Fairbank when he came to us in similar circumstances from Huddersfield- must be a chance of getting him permanently as while he's excellent at championship level not sure about his chances in superleague.

I wonder if kavanagh is not playing because of his previous injuries and it being a artificial pitch at newcastle

I would start him on the bench with larroyer in the second row and he is not on is own with is performances at least he as got the excuse of returning from a bad long term injury

Really good result that but the real tests come in the next 2 games. There looked to be a good balance to the team yesterday and hopefully Grix sticks with the same 17 for next week as they all deserve it.

Great performance and result, the lads couldn't have done much more. Great defence again, when was the last time a Halifax team kept two consecutive clean sheets? Some good tries as well and fantastic to see, and hear, such a good following from the Fax fans. The Buck Inn, Northallerton. Ringwood Forty Niner 4.9% Mmm! :DRUNK:

well i really enjoyed that not just the game but the day it self its a long old journey to newcastle and back in the same day it was good to see rusty rita and i even got called lush at durham services and no she didn't have a white stick before anybody says anything. As for the game i thought it was a really professional performance from fax at 8 nil newcastle had some pressure on our line and caught us short for numbers on both sides of the park but they couldn't take advantage i think better sides would have punished us for that but once rawsthorne scored the break away try we never looked back and the game was over by halftime for me then we scored a really good try at the start of the second half with some really crisp passing and deep running lines for barber to score it got scrappy after that but our defense stood firm after these last 2 games i feel we are at about par now for were i would expect us to be in the league but i think we can do even better with the squad we have got and i think we will no were we truly stand after the next 3 games
