yes i was talking about chris atkins he would be a good signing.you have got me thinking now if the club you mention was hull kr could it be milnes or keyes who is on loan at york

Rowan Milnes made his KR debut this week. Keyes is on his way back from injury so could be him on loan when his York deal ends.

well were to start with that scoring 34 points is good for the attack but to concede 44 is unacceptable the game was over by the 30 minute mark which is embarrassing we could not defend in that first half the tries were soft ones to concede time and again. some people may see that as a good effort against a side like toulouse but i dont think that performance is acceptable at all the players seemed incapable of defending there own try line. when a side can go threw another with that ease there is some thing seriously wrong the players need to have a good look at them selves and as i have said before simon grix is incapable of putting this right how long will this be allowed to go on for until he is replaced for me how the directors of the club respond to this we tell me all about this clubs ambition i also thought jack smith had a poor game but was not the reason we lost i could do with a sniff one after that and i dont mean a drink

No point in trying to make any sense out of a game like that, it had no resemblance to anything I've ever seen.

In the first half no idea what the game plan was supposed to be this week as it can't have been based on going 34 - 0 down conceding at over a point a minute which was resignation standard and if it hadn't have been for the second half fight back it would be hard to see how SG could have come back from it if it had continued.

Regarding the second half the game plan which they had worked on all week must have gone out of the window based on the first half performance.

Talk about being totally :? :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

Does anyone else know what's going on. :?:

After 30 minutes I thought we'd do well to keep it to 100 points - playing a side with bigger stronger players need to defend aggressively and keep them away from your tryline - 2 things which we failed miserably to do to start with. Once we upped the intensity of defence, with all 4 subs bringing extra aggression we looked a completely different team. I've seen lots of negative comments about our halves - once they were given some ball I thought they were excellent. Tangata looked strong on his return and I thought Ed Barber had a good game as did Amir and Saltonstall. Most pleasing probably was JWH who couldn't really be blamed for the first half debacle and had some lovely touches in attack.

I am one of Grix's biggest critics and I am basing pretty much all my assumptions on the guys ability due to his lack of experience, his at best indifferent win record and his somewhat monotone interviews. However, I think yesterday maybe showed me that we might have something with him. Not sure why Larroyer or Springer weren't playing but it's not like we haven't been pumped 30 odd points in one half before. Yes, it was disappointing but I think it showed we can compete with them, which prior to the game was what I was hoping for. Hopefully, when things return to some state of normalcy we see some benefits of the rebrand, keep being a competitive top 4 team which I think we are and keep building some foundation to push to the next step which apart from Toulouse, no one has a hope of staying in dooperleague beyond a season.

That left side TJ needs watching. We were too late out of the blocks, however, fans can't expect this standard of officiating. Jack Smith is probably sharpest, quickest and Eagle eyed due to his forces service. I reckon TJ's don't get a thorough evaluation.

I wish we had more genuine lads like Gareth Hewer refereeing. Best ref at this level in a generation. Honest man with a love for the sport and players.

Im going to ignore the second half because the game was well gone. The 1st half was woeful at very best, the logic of rotating 2 of our better forwards for this game almost gave me a sense we had no intentions to target this game. Liam Harris was targeted in defence all the first half and nothing was done to counter it, I simply do not get that. Its going to have to be a very steep learning curve for Grix and at the moment he is looking way out of his depth. Luckily for us teams are beating each other so from 3rd onwards its wide open.

Also whats happened to Bradon Moore? He seems to have had a really slow start to the season obviously not helped by our pack getting dominated most games. Or is it just that Amir Bourough looks on a different level to him which has reduced Moore to a bit part second half second row. Fairbank was the obvious choice as captain to me so maybe that is also something that is weighing on him as he just does not look his normal self.

Spot on regarding Grix, Brandon and the forwards. Was Springer injured or just dropped? He was MotM the previous week. The season is in serious trouble already and Simon needs to get it sorted out sooner rather than later.

True about Springer but a season in trouble already, no. There are a group of teams, including York who is just as likely to win as lose against each other. If we lose to either Oldham or Dewsbury, you might have a case.
