Looks like the Powell to Cas rumor will gather more pace this morning with reports Millward has left his post at Cas. I actually think he has been a bit hard done by at Cas having no money to spend and the money they did have to spend the board wanted to use it on 1 player. The squad they have ended up with looks like one of the worst that has been in SL in many years.

Could also be an interesting one in that Powell has reportedly signed Vince Mellors from Wakefield so its hard to believe he would even think about moving when he has been given some cash to splash. Then again though after he allegedly got physical with a couple of players after their recent defeats they may be glad to ease him out of the door now it appears he has lost the dressing room.

Don't you think that Cas is a bit like a poisoned chalice? No one in their right mind would want it? If I was Powell, I would the competition here than the lack of competition in SL with Cas.

Interesting that someone starts the Powell rumour on here Don't you see your own coach up for this Coached S/L before won the NRC with different clubs over the years and currently coaching the team at the top of the championship with no loses this year

If asked would he take it ?

Doubt he would take it tbh. He can probably earn more through his business and coaching Fax than he could in SL. I think Powell was obviously going to be in the rumor mill what with his falling outs with his players and handing in his resignation on a couple of occasions now.

Didn't you read the interview he gave to League-weekly just last week re: the state of the game ?

I can't see Cas being a big enough draw away from his day job & the best job in coaching outside of SL.

Don't think Powell fell out with the players.

Whoever gets the Cas job, good luck to them. Club is in an awful situation.
