And Behold, a pale horse. And on his back his name was death.

The weekend starts on a Monday.

A good win for Featherstone. : Sat Mar 17, 2012 8:50 am
:MOTOR:
No axe to grind, to be honest from our point of view would have prefered Leigh to win, however nice to see a decent crowd 2300. Lets hope all our divisions crowds increase.

Typical Fev, like em or not they do all the basics better than most, laying a platform for Finn to put tries on a plate.
I can't wait to play them again.

It was a good game where for the first time this season we clicked. There were good signs of it at Keighley (seriously, they won't be easy on their own turf), but Leigh just looked like they copped for it when it finally started to happen for us this season.

A crowd of 2382 as well. Most encouraging was the comments from some of the Leigh fans who visited, and some comments from their forum re how much they enjoyed the matchday experience, which for a cold evening in March was fantastic.

After years n years of watching absolute cobblers, it's cracking to be in a thick seam at the mo, tho I'm under no illusions as to how fragile all of RL is!

looking forward to it aswell. it may well be billed as 'two unbeaten teams come face to face' if all goes as planned....next up for us though is York!

good crowd that aswell, do you have any stats as to how many of the crowd took advantage of your 'other season ticket' offer?

Leigh looked to have taken 2-300 ish?

Not sure mate if the club are capturing any data from the season ticket thing,I guess they will do to evaluate its effect.

Im not sure how many leythers came to be fair looking at the terraces I guesstimate about a couple of hundred so you might not be far off.

York should not be a problem for Fax,but hey this is sport and we have slipped on a banana skin at times...

Fev are the team to match on and off the field. Fax have done well and in no way am I knocking anybody at the club but we still need to push on and do better. Maybe Fax need to work with the other clubs on season ticket holders maybe offering them a discount like at Leigh and Batley. Also while over 2000 for the Hunslet is game is very good, its only 100 up from last years game which was on TV. Somehow we need to get more people coming but maybe the Prices are a bit steep for some. Fev have slowly built to where they are and Fax are the same. But its up to us all to help the club get more people supporting the lottery, going to games etc. Great work Fav and they have thrown down the challenge to us on and off the field. Lets help the club match and beat it!

I agree Si, Fev won club of the year last year or maybe the year before. They run scholarship teams at u15's & 16's, they run academy at other ages and their reserves seem to be quite a way in front of other championship clubs. Like Fax, Fev really need their reserves to prosper due to the pressures of attempting to get into SL. Crowds are definately an issue at both clubs I.M.O., 2,000 - 2,500 although very healthy and financially very welcome they just won't be enough to base full time squads on, so how do clubs like Fev & Fax & Leigh entice more through the gates ?
It's all beyond me.

Fev simply outplayed Leigh in every department on the night and just look as strong as ever across the park and behind the first team the infrastructure is there for it to continue.
I'm sure the Leythers will bounce back but Fev are still setting the standards for others to follow.
There will be some cracking matches this year involving practically every club.
What can be better than going to a game unsure on who will win and by how many.
There will not be many gimmies in any this year which can only be good for the game.

Agree with all of that post faxcar. I would rather watch my team compete against other teams than watch them get a tonking every week. I know the bright lights of Sl are what some people want, but I'm not sure we could compete on a financial level.
