Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

This highlights the RFL's totally cock eyed vision of the future

We have some clubs struggling financially so instead of looking at real ways of helping them improve their income lets waste a bloody fortune on flying teams over the channel and bugger up teams cash flow by having an odd number of teams in the Championship

As for the Championship 1 teams well they can survive on 14 home games a season and a 9 's tournament in Blackpool in the middle of the season

Clueless

Oh I forgot , changing the name of the competition will help the clubs get more money in as well , that and having games on a thursday night when nobody turns up unless they get free tickets

What a stupid idea, why is this going to help clubs like Doncaster, London Skolars and Workington for example???
It will make the gap even bigger between SL and the Championship. :!:

I've heard of this and I think it is completely ridiculus. Its a cap, not the amount that has to be spent, so teams who don't have the income to spend 400k shouldn't spend the top amount, they should have a proper business plan and cut their cloth accordingly. I agree starbug, the RFL is a shambles that has only super leagues interests. Teams with ambition to play at the top level like halifax, widnes, leigh, barrow etc... shouldn't be held back by teams that are happy to be competing in the national leagues, and have no ambition.Lowering the salary cap is just gonna stop the top clubs spending money on developing talent and surely this is not exactly a benefit for the game, but do the RFL care do they chuff.

You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how ya gonna have a dream come true?

Are you claiming all you are entitled to? www.debtadvicenetwork.org then go to "Self Help" then "Benefits & Entitlements".

It's time we got rid of these buffoons. A set of total cretins with their own agendas.

They are killing the game.

That is an excellent point mate.. It's not as if other teams have a gun held to their head and are made to spend the full amount.

Halifax learnt that to their cost in the past.

There will be a gun to someone's head somewhere when it comes to voting for this move to be ratified. It's up to the clubs to vote against this, but the RFL, (IMO), will 'persuade' those clubs unfortunate enough to be unable to spend without getting into trouble or have enough to spend to vote for the proposition. It's time that something was done.

There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back!

It would conveniently make it easier to install a club form say Scotland or Ireland, and allow them to compete with even the top Championship clubs without costing the RFL....err I mean those clubs too much money.

Well said Pepe. I think that the RFL are trying to ruin the game outside Super League and trying to use the championship to breed new teams for Super League But look at Celtic Crusaders .
