he is a good player yes and always gives 100% to every game.
he gets overshaddowed a little playing in a side with the fire power that we have. with all the brilliance we have dows the centre of the park its sometimes easy to forget the people who are not breaking tackles or weaving through defenders. defonately a good player though.

I think he's always been in the shadows, Despite been a grafter who gives 100% every time he enters the field, he doesnt do the fancy stuff that the likes of Black and Penky (for example) do which get people talking.

Everything he does he does well. A good hard worker and great tackler at times. A real workhorse and good player all round.
We have so many flair players that the pack do get overlooked a lot in the victories. People like Larder and Smith do a lot of the tackling but not necessarily ball carrying. They are a credit to our club and the way we play. Without them we wouldn't be as good.
For me, Smith would be one of the first names I would sign for next year. Not an obvious first choice for most, but I think he is a positive influence on and off the field.

i thought our second row were outplayed by barrow, struggled for go forward in the last quarter in the hot weather - would expect to see dwayne barker back in the 17 next week
I didn't think they were outplayed in the last quarter at all. We let Barrow back in the game and from being down and out they started to change their tactics and used the same ones as sheffield. In turning us round early in the tackle count. Then when they were getting closer they had their tails up and some sloppy tackling at times and ill discipline by fax let them cross.
The only players that were mainly making plays for them was from dummy half and chips over the top. I certainly wouldn't say there back row outplayed ours!
I bet they didn't even make many breaks yesterday either. I bet Barrow probably had about five clean breaks and scored from three of them in the second half.
