The comm take into account in the players favour the fact that he has been in the game for 17yrs and only once previously appeared before this tribunal for misconduct. It is for that reason the comm on this occasion are able to restrict the sanction to one of 5 matches.

Good Job he's not been a regular in front of the Disciplinary aint it

Well I give refs a lot of abuse as a speccie. I think it is a duty of every Leyther but we do not expect players to do it because thats our job. Theirs is to entertain ie the players .

Every now and again I find myself watching a football game on TV and the way the overpaid players talk to the officials is an absolute disgrace.

We don,t need players doing that in our sport and I feel the ban is justified.

His persistant abuse and waiting for the Ref to leave the pitch to carry on the abuse are what's done it IMO.

To ban Holly might be right but its the length of the ban that seems a little harsh when you consider his previous record since the early 90`s. Maybe he will appeal and get a slap on the wrist.
