Free Supporters Travel to Doncaster & Discounted Tickets : Mon May 18, 2009 2:34 pm
Halifax are offering free coach travel to Thursday night’s Co-operative Championship clash at Doncaster.
The initiative is aimed at rewarding Fax’s large travelling support, but also helping cash-strapped Doncaster boost their gate at the televised fixture (kick off 7.30pm) Fax chief executive Graham Clay said: “Our away support is fast becoming the envy of the league, as was shown by the 1500 who went to Castleford. But having had long away trips to Barrow and Whitehaven recently it has been a drain on the pocket, so we’d like to help as many fans as possible get to Doncaster on Thursday and give the players the kind of vocal support they enjoyed so much at Castleford. “It’s also no secret that Doncaster are struggling financially, and just as clubs rallied round to help us in the past now it’s time to give something back and help them all we can. The easy option would be to stay at home and watch on TV, but we are urging as many people as possible to travel for free. In addition, match tickets will be available onboard each coach at the discounted price of £10 adults and £5 concessions. This makes it a real value for money night out watching top-class rugby league.” Up to 500 seats are available on a first-come first-served basis. The bus will leave The Shay at 6pm. Supporters wishing to take advantage of this offer must reserve their place before 2pm Wednesday by calling the club on 01422 342792 or email us at info@halifaxrlfc.co.uk to book your place. Any one who is booked on Neil's Bus does not need to re book with the Club and your travel will still be free of charge. Neil will have the discounted tickets to sell also. Any of the tickets not being used on the buses will be available for people travelling by car to purchase from The Shay offices on Thursday between 10am and 4pm. |
