obviously the way the ref was treated was completely wrong and should not happen.

the refs need to start having suspensions for decision.

players get sent off when they make a mistimed tackle some times so refs need to get a match ban if they make so many wrong decision in a game or over a series of games.

I can't believe they didn't have a standby to take to the field though. Is it not the national sport there?

The reserve referee was up a tree watching the match. Understandably, he didn't want to get down.
