A Fathers' Day present for a Rugby League fan maybe. : Thu Apr 30, 2009 7:29 am
The novel 'One Autumn' is the latest in a series of four novels all written against a strong Rugby League background. It is set during the 1992/93 season and includes a few tales from Thrum Hall.
It is inspired by the old saying about work "They could write a book about this place. It would be a best seller." In Halifax that could have included Crosrol at Brunswick Mill and then Pellon Lane where I worked between 1976 and 1983.
So if you are in town this Saturday (May 2nd) and wondering what to get for a Fathers' Day present I will be in WH Smith from 10.30 onwards and looking forward to meeting any old friends who I once worked with in the drawing office.
