Unfortunatley that is the reality facing a lot of our fans next season, besides finding a wealthy backer to subsidise that I am not sure what the answer is. Ive been to less games this season than I have been to in probably the last 30 years or so, not just down to the quality but its the first time in a while where given the choice I would start to pick and choose my games. Pretty much all the people I used to go with has dwindled to the last few due to money constraints and its far cheaper to have a catch up in a pub over a beer than it is to have a catch up at the game especially when there really isn't an atmosphere at most games and you can watch them for free on YT a couple of days later. Add in to that the kids getting older which adds to the costs on match day and its just getting a more and more unrealistic option for families.
God knows what the answer is because I think we can all see realistically the way that rugby league at this level is headed at the moment.

It’s across the board this inflation issue.
Up in the Lakes one of the main super markets is the Booths chain and on our way back from wandering with daffs and clouds the other week we called in for a few bits, in front of us was a lady with a good largish shop of just every day items and it came to £176
£176 and change for a decent size weeks worth of food and grocery items.
We’d bought some razor blades and they were almost a tenner so me being me said to the wife “I think we should put them back as I don’t mind you having hairy legs and a moustache” to which she replied “I think we should and get a old razor instead so she could cut my throat.”
