Strange signing really as in Salty and Sharp we have two players who make a lot of yards and are usually solid defensively. In an ideal world I would think our shopping list would look like this:- FB, 2 Centres, half back, hooker and prop. Obviously we won't have money to bring in 6 players better than we have already so I think we need to spend money on quality at FB, Centre and a half back. I think our pack is solid so you have to look at our shortage of points so something needs to be changed up.
It will be interesting to hear what RM says about Robinson’s addition if / when it is confirmed, one thing he does have over our current wingers is an extra yard of pace.
Agree about Salty and Sharp and it may be that Will goes back to fullback as I don’t see us holding on to Moss and the wage bill.
Another permutation could be JWH to 1 giving cover and or tactical options at 6 even in the same game to ask a different question.
The one thing I mention a lot about whoever plays at fullback is coming into the line in attack, it creates that extra player who if he doesn’t score himself often finds the telling pass to a teammate.
I wonder how many assists Quinlan had yesterday as an example, QLT did it but he’s a one off, Will and Salty not often enough to be a constant threat.
Anyway so much for this weeks addition of the armchair coach.
