I'm sure the short kick off tactic worked, even against cas in the CC. The fact we rarely use it now, or should I say not use it the same way as before (ie Haley jumping like a jumpy thing) might explain our drain of confidence.

Agree totally. I cant understand why we have gone away from this tactic when it works so well. Think we got to every short kick off barring 1 yesterday and it was only he fact that other players wernt alert that we didnt come up with the ball more. Even the one where Haven took it cleanly they still ended up where they would of if we had kicked it deep due to the pressure from the Fax defenders.

If it aint broke.........

Our first try of the game came from a short kick off. The only time you went long you got the ball back and the other one hit the post.

Take the kick off from the start of the game. We get the ball on our own 40 rather than ingoal. Edmondson busts a tackle we're now on your 30, put an attacking kick in and force a drop out. Score from the next set. If you'd kicked the ball long, we'd have went 5 drives and a long kick. The first try of the game could've made a big difference. It's not really about using the short kick off it's about using it at the correct time and possibly giving the opposition a little bit more respect.

Right, I feel I am able to talk about it now. WE WERE CR-P. :P

In our record breaking relegation year we were cr@p and we knew we were. This year we are good and we know it, but at the moment we're playing cr@p. So annoying.

bet you were getting nervous 5 mins from end wernt you.

if penky hadnt missed the ball on there line on our last touch of the ball then we may have won that match, would peoples reactions have still been the same then

fair enough we are going through a bad spell but form is temperory class is permenent. we will come back on form we are still top or so i believe.

if we had have won thast match it may have been undeserved but would it have been classed as our greates comeback if it had come off.

But you did not

Like I have said Whitehaven 'do a job' and it does for us.
It won't work on teams with more brains and a pair of half backs though.
Its Barrow or Widnes for the GF, unless we find some form again which is not impossible - here's hoping.

PS. I hope its not you lot in the GF the way you play. Yer it beats us but it aint pretty, of your 8 tries only the clever kick into the corner was from really good rugby, the rest were our errors or slack tackling.
As you can see I don't like Haven :P

and who forced the errors though us

defence wins games , give us some credit,we play a percentage game yes and we know when to build pressure instead of throwing it about
jt , leroy, matty and edmo smashed you all day long forcing error after error which we made the most of, nice moves for gorski to break the line to put eilbeck in , and jt,s try and his off load for edmos try were hardly boring to watch

credit where its due
