Seen 2 excellent games so far this weekend. A tight defensive game at The Shay last night, and tonight an excellent attacking game at Post Office Road.

Will see what Hunslet & York can serve up tomorrow.

Super League? Yawn, who needs that.

Next weekend's challenge cup 4th round games involving Championship sides could have a significant effect on their clubs' fortunes for the next month or so, take Fev for example, after last night's shocker for them they have the emotional & physical drain of their televised local derby with their big brothers from next door. How they emerge from this tie is very important to their season, win & it's an enormous lift, lose and depending how they lose and it could impact in a negative way, likewise Keighley. Nobody who was at the game on friday can deny how much they've come on this season under JD, but a cup tie against Wire probably isn't ideal for them.
On the other hand, the form teams of Fax & Eagles of lower profile opponents in Scorpions & York so will possibly be faced with the same dilema's as Fev & Keighley in the 5th round, and there are some big super league sides going out in the 4th round. Very interesting times ahead I think.

thing is your all banging on about beating eagles last week and how such a good win it was but the game was in the balance up until brambani getting sin binned, eagles were well on top at that point and imo would have gone on to win the game, you scored four tries whilst eagles had 12 men and then you just scrape a win against keighley so god knows what makes you all think your gonna run away with it this year, its a very unpredictable league

To beat Eagles away is a very good result. No one is saying we will run away with the League, but can you blame us for hopeing we do.

There are going to be some upsets and I'm just thankful that we are unbeaten so far, that was a bloody tough match on Friday and we came out on top, so keep up the good work and if our defensive work keeps on like this we won't be far away at the end of the season. But, we really need to work on managing the ruck when the refs are poor.

Yes, 50-18 is a close game. The sending off helped but we never looked like loosing that game.

To be totally honest, although Sheffield had the best of it for the first 15 minutes of the second half, I thought that Fax had started to turn it around again in the 10 minutes prior to Brambani's sin-binning. Also, the 4 tries still had to be scored. I've seen Fax waste a 1 man advantage before now and let the other team score.
