Re: Thread about Trouble after Featherstone game : Thu Jun 16, 2011 10:44 pm
Like I said the other day the proof will be 'in the eating of the pudding' and sadly we got yet more trouble at a Fev v Fax game.
I am sure there will be some who will say it was caused by us and some will say it was all down to Fev fans, what I do know is that there was a large group of Fev fans around 20 or probably more who came into the end of the ground where we were at and then it all kicked off and it was vicious.
I pleaded with both sets of fans to leave it out but it fell on deaf ears, 3 or 4 of our fans got too wound up after being hit and would not let it go. To be fair they were well outnumbered and stood their ground but they should have left it but they would not, the Fev fans I saw were lets say a 'rough looking' bunch and would not get away and out of the ground and did have a pop at some of our fans, the stewards struggled to cope and it was not pleasant.

The thing for me is WHY were those Fev fans there and why did they not just go home as it was 10 minutes or more after the game had ended. What happened to the segregation that they promised?
My guess is they wanted to 'have a go' and some of our hotheads gave some back.
Stupid and not what we want at a RL game, I do hope those who are the culprits are on film, especially those cowards who attacked one Fax fan when there were about 10 or more of them, yer he was a bit gobby but not very brave to take one on against 10 is it? if you are talking numbers then it was about 6 Fax numpties and about 30 Fev numpties who caused this for what it is worth, don't make it any better either way.
To have your coach held back for half an hour then lots of police and stewards have to watch you get away from a ground oh and then see an ambulance arrive is sad, very sad.

But the game was excellent lets remember the game please.

It is just a crying shame that this as happened. I don't know who was involved or who started it because like usual I stayed the hell away cos I have got better things to do.

All I want to say is that it was a cracking game that could have gone either way. Congaratulations and all the best for the final.

FAILURE ISN'T ABOUT FALLING DOWN, FAILURE IS STAYING DOWN..........

Re: Thread about Trouble after Featherstone game : Thu Jun 16, 2011 10:54 pm
I went to the game, met my good buddy Fev fan in the Top house as usual for this fixture, he was chuffed to bits to see me, introducing me to some RLFans posters at the game & in the blue lagoon at HT, nice to meet Fevgrinder & chris taylor amongst others.
Loved the game, I always felt we kept them in it with our flamboyant style of slinging the ball around, but we scored when we created and on the field, job done.
Off the field, disgraceful behaviour. Stewarding pathetic, police pathetic ( were there any present during the game ? ) but to guide the Fev fans around the back of the celebrating champions fans was disastrous. I know some Fax fans got involved 'cos I saw it with my own eyes, most of us wanted to celebrate in sporting fashion but weren't permitted to do by looking behind us & over our shoulders.
Fev Rovers have had the last money out of my pocket if they cannot accomodate us for what has now become a very volatile fixture. Grown men with flat caps pushing people over from behind & laying the boot in, absolute trash.

This past year or so has been hard on the chavs of the likes of Fev (and Hull) with the Tory cuts so they seem more obnoxious than ever. To see that Jonesy drop sail over in front of the scummers filled my heart with joy.

Why would segregation be beneficial? That would surely increase the hostility.
Tonight was a ‘big-game’ in a similar mould to last year’s grand final, in that it was always going to attract the hangers-onners.
When 10 or so Fax ‘fans’ who had been out on the ale and then came across 10 or so Fev ‘fans’ who had been out on the ale then a scrap would always be on the cards, regardless of win, lose or draw. Unfortunately the melee tonight got a bit out of control as the local scrotes decided to jump on the bandwagon.
I only hope, that everyone who wished to have no part in the frenzy, managed to get home safely.

Whoever is responsible for causing any level of violence at tonights game should be banned from RL grounds forever regardless of whether they are Fax or Fev. Tonight we saw a superb game of Rugby League and neither team deserved to lose. Every player gave their all and then it gets spoilt by a handful of idiots.

Pretty easy that really just wait and see who got arrested and ge3ts convicted

Superb game of rugby league, with an absolutely glorious ending for us fax fans.. again. However, again as previously stated the game with possibly now be spoke about with regards to the farcical scenes afterwards.
1. If featherstone had won the game due to a golden point, would them scenes followed? i seriously doubt it somehow
2. Why on this earth were fev fans walking , congregating & using the game exit as fax fans?
3. Where the hell was the police, even steward presence at the ground??

The scenes after the game were a disgrace, total disgrace. I echo the statements that fans from both sides should be banned for life. However, this would never had happened if a) a procedure & planned segregated exit had been in a place & b) a half decent police or even steward presence had been present
