Absolutely agree with you on the whole franchise debacle. I dont agree with it nor do i want it. I see the supposed benefits for young english player development but apart from a few at cas ad a few others scatered about is there actually any? the top teams like saint Leeds etc bring through youngsters any way. Cut out the foreign imports and this would solve that problem tomorrow.
I'm farid to say however that it seems like Rugby league has made its decision and as a "community" we have to live with it. I agree it would be fantastic to break away i just cant see chairman agreeing to it with all the cash theyl would lose from image rights with Sky.
It fustrates me so much that traditional clubs with history, which even people outside the game recognise could be over looked for the shambles which is the Welsh team. Absolutely start them in the lower leagues. On the same rules though!!!! None of this increased foreign players like Celtic and Catalans had and still do have!!!!
Cas went there a couple of weeks ago and the attendance for that was 2,000 of which over half were from Cas. Went to Edinburgh the following week saw about five fans there from Celtic and about 20 from fax and you were not even playing. Think that says it all.
I really do wish you all the best of luck for the coming season. Word of warning. Dont play that well again as other clubs will come looking at your talent. I know i would do if i were matterson this morning. Certain full back would go quite nice down the jungle. Season long loan of your hookers whilst our captain recovers. any takers
The rule that gives a point if you have no teams within 20 miles of you will be the death of the game
