Heart and hope is Fax by a score, head is Fev by 2 scores maybe more.
Nowt against Scott but to bring him back in means dislodging two of our best players of late from their current slots.
Woody to the centres and Ed to the pack.
Ed going to the pack would also mean another of our big guys missing out.
Fev have been immense in the forwards and we need the three big guys on the bench with Amir to give us our best chance.

prediction time i will stick my neck out and go for a fax win 30-20 we are at full strength and fev have a few out if we cant win now then its time to give up i no they will still have a strong side out and will be full of confidence but so should we and time will tell if i am right or not i hope i am

Hardcastle and Bussey both ruled out to join the ever growing injury list at Fev. At the start of the year I didn't think McConnell, Beckett or Field would play a game for us but they're all playing today. You are right, you won't get a better chance at turning us over than this.

Well that was a hot day. Not very impressed with the ref. However we never looked like braking the Fev line. One of the Fev try was the interception one from a pas that shouldn’t have been thrown and an other was so soft it was painful to watch. I don’t feel their was too much between the teams but, once again, our attack near the line is woefully unorganised.
Hope folk turn up to watch the Eagles game.

We got the rub of the green today. Another day we won't. That's how it rolls

There is rub of the green when it’s 50/50 decision but there were just wrong decisions today. But as I said we never looked like breaking Fevs line.

Gut feeling was the fax effort ruled out in the first half was a try. I will look closer at the vid later.
I remember tangi charging down a drop goal attempt a few years ago at fev. A very marginal decision on a day of marginal decisions I perceived that fax were the beneficiaries.
Today, we got the breaks. It's how it rolls. But yes, I also note your comment. Against a very depleted squad with eight out who you might argue would have been in the 17, plus fev being a man short for ten mins.... fax could only cross once.
I was nervous throughout

Defensively I thought Fax were excellent against a top 2 side, effort they had to put in during first half I think caught up with them later. Creativity was stifled at least in part by a very professional Fev side - hope Robinson injury not too serious as while Russell looked lively they will miss his organisation. Disappointed Amir missed out as on a hot day he could have been devastating coming off the bench. Bit underwhelmed
with Worthington so far, defends well and runs in hard - can't remember him giving one pass to his winger though today - or for majority of the season.Overall though in view of the quality of the opposition I'm perhaps feeling more positive than some posters- if they play like that with a bit more guile in attack I'd expect them to win vast majority of their games.

The day when we can talk about two teams going head to head testing each other’s ability is what I’m interested in . Today was about the man in pink , I’m glad I wasn’t there . Sick to death of corruption in society and sport whether it be football boxing or rugby. It would be nice to know who’s the best instead it’s all about some jobsworth in the middle , you want fans back call us the Halifax gimps for all I care , 18 years of no chance of super league has nothing to do with what goes on between two sides on the pitch, it’s refs and politics , do one , spread your butter as thin as you like , your toast tastes dry.

Haven’t watched the game back yet but a few quick bullet point first thoughts are.
Ref. Not so much for this game just sad for the game in general when there’s so much time money and effort spent by everyone else and that’s the best we can expect on a regular basis for all teams depending on which way the wind blows.

Teams. It was hot out there in the middle today and all 34 gave it their best shot and deserve a clap or two.

We didn’t have many chances and those we did Fev's defense was outstanding with Fax too not far behind them.

Woody's disallowed try, from where I was stood behind the posts at that end it wasn’t a knock on, it was grounded just short of the line and I had a pretty good view of it.

Injuries, a couple had ones for concern and the majority of the rest knew they had been in a game and will have their fair share of bumps and bruises to prove it.

I watched the game on Our League, and the JWH effort looked like it was well on the line as it was grounded. A roll forward a few inches (no separation or second movement) and it was easily a try from any angle. 12 points effectively for that, given they went straight up the other end and scored. Disregarding that, it certainly wasn't a knock on. Possibly a slight separation on the way down, but a firm hold on the ball as it hit the ground. They showed it lots of times on the stream!
