A Level playing field is all anyone can ask, Cetic, Quins Gateshead have all been subsidised by paying fans elsewhere, dont kid yourself, Celtics and Londons attendance could never afford the houses for your imports... Stop kiddin yourself, you aint kidding anyone else
Its called marketting and politics...
Hey why dont they play aussie rules in Scunthorpe? i know i have an idea!

Just done a quick scan count, and judging by average depth numbers and rows, it looks about right to be fair
I think it says more about the infamous gate 13 at RL grounds the rules arent the same as soccer, try watching the shaymen sometime and you will know what i mean...
There was more than 1300 there, with a very healthy following from Fax.
it was quite enlightening to be in the midst of a healthy RL following in the south of france - they love their catalans down there. A bar in Carcesonne had shut on the sunday as they had run a bus to perpignan for the game.
I definitely wouldnt bracket The South of France with Celtic and London - there is a strong RL base there that should be admired and applauded. We drove past a huge bilboard on the motorway for a paper L'Independant that was dedicated solely to Catalans. Ive never seen anything of the sort in the M62 area for one of our clubs - only the Bulls have got close to that.
There were people on all sides, and plenty in the bar so i would think the 1600-1700 is too conservative, like i say especially if you watch the Shaymen and see what a crowd of 1100 really looks like, i think you need to remember like i say about the RL clubs in the UK dont have the same rules, so you cant ever use an RL game over here as a yardstick, sorry about that, but its just the basic fax .... Ill count them again if you like plenty of pictures to do your own numbers too.
Having just got back from France today i though i would update this thread. They did actually announce the crowd in the stadium. My sister who speaks fluent french said it was just over 1600. So most people were guessing right off the top of their heads.
I would say fax topped at 400 at best. The french nearly filled the two seated areas themselves and stood down one sideline by the dugouts, while fax were at one end for each half mainly or the bar.
Top game, people were nice too. We were chatting to them after the game outside. They were full of compliments for the fans and the team.
