Love a brew.

Seems a bit tense on the Halifax board, plenty of female frustration being let out, you could all do with a day out by the seaside to calm down.

Oh hang on

Compared to the recent history on the Widnes board this is a sea of calm by comparison. You've made a fool of yourself on here before VM - which usually ends up in you going off-site for a 48 hour sulk. I'd hang fire until September before strutting your stuff on here otherwise you might have to take a week off. Well done Widnes - you're in Blackpool. But the season doesn't end in Blackpool. Halifax are in the box seat as far as the league is concerned - mainly becuase we haven't lost six matches. Taking a step back from all the crowing (granted, against my team, you've had nothing to crow about up until yesterday) i personally feel Halifax have the stronger team and are in a better position than Widnes to take the season's big prize. To be honest, i'm more worried about Barrow and Toulouse - they offer more of a threat to our campaign at the moment.

Our season really started about 3 weeks ago, forgive me for my little bit of happiness. Think your probably right regards the league. Hopefully we can grab third position and then mount a serious challenge from there, we can beat anybody on our day but so can Fax and Barrow. Toulouse granted on there own pitch are a bitch to beat but away from home is a different story.

Interesting times ahead.

Yeah but did it? You've had false dawns before. You got big scalp yesterday but wins against York & Fev at home are hardly bench marks. Here's your remaining matches:

Doncaster (h)
Gateshead (a)
Toulouse (a)
Halifax (h)
Fev (a)
Barrow(a)
Haven (h)

I personally felt that you beat a poor Halifax team yesterday - and then only after a freak bombed try scoring opportunity. Let's see if you get a bit of consistency in the next three matches. You don't need me to tell you how hard this league can be and for all the "country mile" comments on here, i don't think anyone really thought the path to glory this year was an easy one. I'll do my crowing after the GF, if applicable - just so i don't look like a complete tool.

Up the Fax. :D

The performance against Fev was probably for around 60 mins the best we have played all year we battered them all over the park. Black messed up for Fax yesterday but people forget that prior to that Widnes dropped the ball on and over the line twice from Hall and Dodd (difficult to see from your end) it also wasnt a great performance from us and we can do better. What it did have was pure commitment and excitement, im not gloating either as i think your implying im just enjoying the moment for now. The league is always the main focus but as you said that is probably out of our grasp given the number of games we have lost. Plenty of things can happen between now and the end of the season, you have also been very lucky with injuries.

God bless you all.

Just a little mainly with our pack as without Matt James we are struggling a bit.
We need a good second rower soon to keep us in front of the rest.
