The message from the Pryce/Reardon case is that "astonishingly frightening" (the Judge's words) assaults will not be treated seriously if committed by celebrities.

They've just said on Look North that the original judge warned them that they faced a gaol sentence, but he /she couldnt attend the sentencing so another judge passed down the suspended sentence & community service

Surely the replacement judge should have been informed of the original judges intentions and taken them into account.Pryce has now got away with 2 lots of community service,obviously he doesn't see it as punishment.Who is going to pay the damages awarded against Reardon now he is unemployed?If he fails to pay will he be taken back to court as you or I would?The whole episode stinks.

Reardon will probably ask the court if he can pay the fine £5 per month or something similar.

As for the judges talking to each other... that would come under the category of "common sense"... somehting that a lot of them appear to be lacking!
