You're probably not going to believe this but the club actually replaced every floodlight lamp with more powerful bulbs in the week leading up to Saturdays match. So you think it was bad this week, you should have been there for the Widnes and Donny games !
Seriously, all at the club know the lights are rubbish, but as owners of the ground the club would have to foot the bill to replace them. I believe funding is being sourced through grants etc, but the final bill will be £200,000. That kind of money buys A LOT of players. The lighting was only ever going to be an issue for the first couple of home games and won't be an issue from now on. Hopefully the new lights will be installed for 2010 and hopefully you Fax fans will be able to see the difference (if we stay up that is).
The reason all home games are at 6:30 on a Saturday is for the simple reason that they attract bigger crowds. If we stay competitive I think only Widnes and Fax will have a bigger average gate this season.

Left me a bit peeved seeing that Holker Street seemed to have proper Floodlight Rigs, as opposed to something that resembled a set of large Desklamps with 40 Watt bulbs in.
Any Football ground up for demolition soon where some could be brought from?
Decent crowd last night (didnt hear it announced though) and thought Fax took a good number, probably boosted by the fact we beat Widnes the other week which may have encouraged some people who might have no bothered to go.
