Condescending. Basically he's saying his team weren't at their best but they have come through it and still won. Its all mind games and if we beat York we will see what pans out in the game that really matters. Up The Fax!

Dear me, you'd have to be a really sensitive soul to be upset at anything he said there. He's very complimentary about Fax, but he's not allowed to say that we weren't at our best (which most Rovers fans would agree with) in an interview for RoversTV just in case some sensitive Halifax fan is listening in and decides to take offence?

No offence taken by me. As I said, it's all mind games. P.S. Don't forget what he said whilst he was at Toronto.

As a fax fan I read it as , he couldn’t work out if fev looked slow n tired because of fax or because they underperformed and he would look at it again but certainly gave credit to Grix and how well drilled we were , macdermott is indeed a marmite character but I think in this instance from a fev point of view he’s spot on .
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."― Albert Einstein "Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense." ― Gertrude Stein "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" ― Abraham Lincoln
Fev have not been great the back end of the season so maybe this is the best they will get at this point. Brian Mc must be a little worried as to why Fev looked so tired and he mentions that a couple of times. makes for an intriguing next game if we manage to get past York.

It's not mind games at all. It was an interview for the RoversTV subscription website which the Fev Twitter account happened to re-broadcast to non-subscribers. And when Grix said in his interview that Fev scored "a couple of crashovers...what looked like quite soft tries to be honest...they got a few tries that, if it weren't for our indiscipline, our inability to get onside..." and made his comment about Fev having played their best team on Sunday...was that mind games too? Or was it, like most coaches, just concentrating on his own team?
PS yes I remember what he said at Toronto. I can remember more recently when this forum was united in wanting Grix sacked. Both ancient history now, I'd suggest.
To say this forum was united in wanting Grix sacked is, i would suggest, grasping at cloud cuckoo land. I myself had misgivings about his appointment but they have well and truly disappeared.

Perhaps united in wanting him sacked was the wrong phrase. Check out these threads and there certainly wasn't much optimism about him, some wanted him gone, others said it would cost too much to sack him viewtopic.php?f=15&t=633320 viewtopic.php?f=15&t=627940
You were first to reply to the 2nd thread (entitled Simon Grix Is Out Of His Depth) with "Season over already. #faxdoingcheapoptiononceagainffs!". Not your most ringing endorsement, was it? The first thread, which was over a year later, sees you glumly referring to Grix as "the cheap option". Like I said, presumably ancient history now, like McDermott's comments in Toronto?
