"They have money troubles and just drop him like a dead weight" - who do you mean by "they" other than the administrators? Hard to see how that decision was in the hands of anyone actually connected with the club, the administrators' primary goal is to achieve the best results possible for the creditors and that's what they have done.

Have Widnes offered him training/rehab facilities whilst he gets back to fitness?

This is the point - who do you mean by "Widnes"? At the time he and the other two were told that they were no longer required, the club to all intents and purposes didn't exist other than in the hands of the administrators. Sunday's game against Fev is cash only because the new organisation doesn't even have a bank account yet.

The guy who has really left Tangata in the lurch had already made his escape from Widnes.

Fair play to Halifax for offering their facilities, although to be honest it's probably also a good pragmatic decision too given he is looking for a club and you'd think there aren't likely to be many full-time clubs willing to offer a contract to him given his current and recent injury status.

To me it's not about Widnes but about Halifax at least making the offer of support that they had no need to do, so good on Fax.

Whilst I admire the club for offering and it can't be nice what Adams gone through I don't get this love in with the player. It's not like we need forwards at the moment and he didn't really do anything last season when he played. Some fans need to move on, no wonder the club can't when some fans are stuck in the past. Can't say he set the world alight for us to justify this massive #bringhimhome malarky.

How about we sign a centre, they just let 2 go, or Craven, not a player cos he used to play for us and he's a good lad, base it on rugby and the team as a whole not a jobs for the boys basis.

I think some fans like to think that there's a place for sentiment and loyalty in our sport. He was good for us, he had a good relationship with the fans and the club. It's a romantic, feel-good story with Halifax at the Centre.

It's a results based business. That kind of thinking happens too much at Fax.

Good post, can't argue with that.

We are crying out for a centre, Salty is not the answer. Instead we obsess over a former player. Sentiment is what makes clubs stale. Move on people he did, the hurt will pass. Find somebody new. I commented on Facebook when someone called him a fax legend!
