Having considered yesterdays game i feel we used one of our nine lives.
At times we looked very dangerous with ball in hand and QLT gave us a vision and passing ability from the back that others have not for a few seasons now .
However some of the handling was atrocious, bad passes at ankles, silly offloads and poor catching. This is not down to coaching at this stage of a players career but just carelessness. Due to this Batley had a huge spell where Fax hardly touched the ball. Penalties are rarely given against when you have the ball but often when you defending set after set. Only some strong defence (apart from one particularly bad read) and hard work kept us in the game.
Once again when one of the on field leaders goes off, Last week Murrell this week Grix, we turn into the headless chickens. Heaven forbid they run into each other!
Three games in and it seems to me solution is easy though hard to correct. Stop giving ball up and we will win most games this year. Rugby league is a simple game.
I thought Sharpe was awesome, my man of match by a mile, then Larroyer and QLT (despite his catching).
Roll on PO Road , and perform to our best.
