if blacky wud of scored that 'wonder' try, we wud of beat widnes aswell as the biggest ...... ive ever set eyes on!!.... i honestly believe with a decent ref we wud of beat them by 'a country mile'!!!!

Black will live the rest of his life wondering how he did not score that try. No doubt he was in pieces after the game, both he and royston were in tears.

Not a single Halifax fan will hold it against them. We support them in everything they do and Gateshead should be very very worried next week. Get the record books out

Chin up lads, disappointing result but we'll do them if we meet them in the play-offs. Black will be gutted but he'll win plenty more games for us this year - he's not the reason we lost today's game.

I've never seen such ungracious losers in all my life. I suppose you all missed a blatant knock on just before one of your trys and clear crossing for your last try; so blatant the Widnes players just stopped.

You were beaten by the better team on the day so deal with it, instead of inventing lame excuses.

Here here, Those lads should be proud of their achievements this year, best team to watch BY A COUNTRY MILE. They can come through this and kick on to destroy the rest of the season.

I will be at the Stobart (if thats what its called this week) to watch us deliver the best revenge, cold and sweet

exactly pepe, two of fax's tries were gifted to them by ref mistakes today, the touch judge even gave the crossing it was that blatent.

we won today because we played a more measured, more composed game in attack and for most of the game dominated the ruck in defence cutting off gleeson, penky and beswick from doing much around there
