As we left the ground, we drove along Post Office Rd, the trouble started as many people in dark blue shirts were chasing people in lighter blue shirts.
At the same time many people who had obviously not been to the game were walking towards the ground hurling insults at us.
As one fan in a dark blue shirt shouted at us "Get out and i'll rip your fu**ing head off" I wound down the window and asked the policeman standing next to him what he was going to do? He just ignored me.
At that time I said to the rest of us in the car, "I have a horrible feeling that the only people who will be arrested will be the one's in the lighter blue shirts"
Turning left at the end of Post Office Rd, we were spat at by a fan in a dark blue shirt. He then walked past us turned round and spat at us again.
Obviously myself my two sons and my grandson (6 years old) leaving a game were great threats and sitting in the car waiting to get out was extremely provocative.
I agree, we should not point the blame, and that's why I haven't said whether it was Featherstone fans threatening to rip our f**cking heads off or whether it was Featherstone fans who spat at us.
All I can is that they were wearing dark blue shirts, o'h with a "pirate" on the chest.
