Having stewed all day at the complete idiots that run our club my anger and frustration is equally so as this year we should SHOULD have kicked on from last year, we should have pride in our position and should be growing in numbers (in terms of support), we should be putting in a flawless SL application and giving the RFL a real headache as champions elect, as Northern Rail winners etc. . . . . . ARE WE??? NO!

When Cas and Hull KR pinned the nail on the cross and said what they were going to achieve, by god they achieved and also ran a professional, business like club at the same time. BUT most of all they delivered for the fans.

What do Halifax do?? - Keep a coach who should have walked 18 months ago, get knocked out of the Northern Rail by incompetence, Cut communication to the fans when it was very clear that something just wasn't right - Posner not avbl for comment, Steele out of the country etc etc. We can bleat all we like and say how without these people we wouldn't have a club, We are in good hands . . . . .Obviously we are not in capable hands in my opinion, We are YET AGAIN at rock bottom and an embarrassment.

Well I add this - These people (do gooders) may well have killed the club once and for all by primarily running it as a hobby and unprofessionally and unbusinesslike - UNPROFESSIONAL is a word that sadly keeps being brought up repeatedly when Halifax RLFC and business are metioned over the last 10-15 years.

Even our bloody marketing has spelling mistakes and before people shoot me down and say if I can do better I should give it a go - Look at Hunslet, Leigh, Sheffield, Featherstone, Barrow and ask yourselves do we envy them in any way - Cos I do and mostly on a front where being run professionally counts!!!

God I hope there is a silver lining somewhere, as a group of people, as fans we deserve better than we are getting.

Still cant believe the farce that was the Hunslet conversion in the last few seconds, if Paterson had took the allocated time we would still be in that cup, the lack of communication and knowledge is down to the coach, he should know these things.

I agree Chris, theres been you, I and many others banging on for ages about the cracks being papered over for quite some time.
Were stumbling from one mess to another, its so sad for the fans and quite frankly im embarrassed.

Couldn't believe what I was hearing when I had a call at 12 to tell me the game was off when I was just about to get on the M62 - the question must be asked as to how the RFL didn't spot it sooner and indeed if the thread on here had owt to do with it, but I think it's best for it to come out now rather than another round down the track.

Froze my knackers off at Sedgeley Park for nowt!

I owe you (and GFB) a massive apology for lambasting your previous posts. I defended the board to the hilt - from Calland to Hall and from Posner to Steele. We are amateur at best. You're right about not being in capable hands. We are in the hands of well meaning people but they're struggling to run the club professionally. The problem is - who else is there? Have they put money in? Will anyone else put money in/run the club?

I thought i would always stick by this club no matter what. Today has just blown that out of the water. I feel sick. I feel like banging my head against the wall. It's ruined my weekend and my wife's pi55ed off at my mood. I've become disillusioned with the sporadic nature of our fixtures. Disillusioned with the inevitable fate of not being in Super League. Our club is dying on it's ar5e and there's nothing i can do. I feel like bailing and forgetting Rugby League exists but i can't. I've just got to sit here and wait for what is about to unfold for our club.

We are screwed are we not?

Like you , littlerich , as I said earlier , I am so peed off at the moment.I love this club that I've followed for 25 yes but today's news and the way it's been handled is so disappointing. I get the feeling the rfl knew nothing about this until this morning , that's why the game was postponed so late. I just hope the resignations of clay and posner are unconnected because if not ,then it's a whole lot worse because that would give the impression that theclub knew there Was a problem but didn't inform the rfl until today if at all. Another thing .I know they won't but wouldnt it been helpful if the club had just put out a statement apolgising for the postponement. I could go on but I won't , iam just so disappointed for all thefans and players ofthis once great club. Goodnight

The club may feel they have done nothing wrong and are fighting their innocence. To release a statement, apologising for what has happened is admitting guilt. They are damned if they do, damned if they dont.

Just a statement of an update would suffice! ne need to discuss the outcome just an frank update and some rational explanation thats all, oh and some sort of heart felt apology might not go a miss!

The club has a backward PR policy.

Forgive me for taking a shot in the dark here, but maybe they've been rather busy with other things today.

I know for a fact that one office employee who I spoke to at 12.30 today was in the process of trying to get in touch with people to alert them that the game had been pulled, I expect that's pretty much the truth. I myself then confirmed to several of my friends that the game was off & that it was official and not just rumour.
