So, you are saying that Malcoplm Powell as a volunteer at the club is not worth the time he puts in, and, a part part time person would do a better job just because they get paid.
Here's a challenge for you Mr YOB, get someone to do it better than me and I'll stand down.
Put up or shut up
Malcolm, if you are going to get personal, I can give as good as I get!
I'd say that you put in a lot of time and effort, but you're past your Sell By date and cause far too many problems, such as taking delivery and paying many thousands of pounds for shirts 3/4 of the way into the season, when the problem in them being delivered so late was down to the supplier.
Also, such as negotiating to take over sponsors sponsorships and seeking the Trust members permissions to do so, then going ahead without their approval, vus depriving the club of potential sponsorship monies/donations!
In my opinion a paid Part Time employee would do a better job, so long as the person was qualified in the area they are working. With the best will in the world, somebody is going to do a better job if their income depended on it, than somebody who can come and go whenever they want and with no financial motivation.
A volunteer can be very valuable, but have them doing the jobs they can handle.
As for me putting money in to replace you, that isn't going to happen! That's up to the board to build it into the budget!
For what it's worth, I think you do a brilliant job and I am disgusted at Yob's comments.
With respect, that's easy to say when you only know half the story.
Apart from that I think it is risible that he seems to believe that an employee is more committed to the job than a volunteer. An employee, generally speaking, is more likely to do what they are paid to do and no more whereas a volunteer, particularly in this situation, brings with it a passion for the work otherwise he/she would not volunteer. They are not getting any other remuneration than a sense of satisfaction in a job well done.

Do not think this is right and if you and Mal have a problem sort it away from here! This thread should be positive and maybe a bit more respect shown for people whether paid or not and also the work that everybody at the club has done. We need to move forward as a club not be held back by personal problems from the past. Onwards and Upwards Fax!!!!!
I think without knowing the full story people should reserve judgment before having a go at yob.I'm sure if they were in his position they would feel the same.you get someone like that who comes in to the job and does a fantastic job, brings lots of fresh ideas about how things can be improved and what happens? He gets treated like poop is what happens therby probably costing the club thousands in lost sponsorship money. But it's all good because the staff that forced him out are doing a "great"job.
Nobody forced me out GFB, except for the fact that I can't deal with egotistical idiots, but I could even cope with that for the benefit of the club.
The main reason I had to stand down was because I knew that the economy was going t!ts up and I would be needed more and more by my clients.

The club can't move forward until problems are sorted. Until then, it'll be held back by well meaning individuals who want to boost their own egos.
I notice that people are having a go at me when it was me who was insulted in the first place, but it's nice to see that people have loyalty to the club.
Yob - I really think you are out of order in posting stuff like that about Malcolm. I wouldn't type anything that i'm not pepared to say direct to a person's face. It's all getting a tad childish. Like I said in my previous post - move off the personal stuff and stick to the topic. I admit to verbally abusing a lot of people but it's generally when they're sat in front of me - as you well know

The Problems do not need to be aired or sorted here in Public. This should be done elsewhere. I am not taking any sides here but just feel this Personal problem between you and Mal should be sorted away from the Public domain. What type of message does it send to new fans who look on here?
I think the thread is losing its way a little and should be pushed back on topic and how we all have a role to play to help the club grow. Some good ideas some ideas which will not work. But no wrong answers as the club and fans need to look at all options to help the Fax Brand grow in the local area.

I thought this was a fans forum. If the fans want to live in a fantasy world believing we have a faultless club setup then I'll shut up!
