I'm going off what colleagues of a couple of club officials so yes, my sources are tenuous. but, if you think SL can just merrily bounce along after four of its clubs have brought the game into disrepute then you're as naive as the 10,000 estimate spouted by your "president for life".

Little rich stop being a bitter and twisted person the teams that currently in SL are the teams the RFL will stick with and try and develop, who in the championship would be benifishial to SL? Featherstone a club crowded by RL teams who's fans from a past era now support either Leeds cas or Wakefield. Or maybe your native Halifax? A club whos fan base was basically picked pocketed by Bradford bulls. Or Leigh a little town in WIGAN who wouldn't even have the potential to get big crowds. Anymore? Fact is the teams currently in SL are there for the long hall they are all needed ro grow the game of RL, for instance why would the RFL bother to save Salfords skin if we didn't have potential to bring something they want? A successful mancheter RL team the RFL have wanted this for years and now finally after finding a man capable of doing so will not let go for love nor money!

Red League, three year ago you could replace Salford with Crusaders in that well thought out post. Salford in SL as a business model does not work - have you been sleep walking the past two years?
Salford will always be a small fish in a SL pond. But,as you say-that's a lot better position than Fax are in or ever will be in again, right?
How the hell do you know what could or couldn't work for Salford? Don't forget pal we've watched crap for the past 30 years and you wonder why the crowds havnt turned up? Trust me if Salford start winning we'll ease 8 to 10 thousand crowds we get 5300ish every game now and that's watching crap season in season out. You watch just like Hull FC and Warrington if we start competing on the pitch the crowds will flock in!
