I don't think that Fax, Fev or Leigh will ever get into Super League under current Red Hall guidelines. They are hellbent on 'expansion' and I think they will be wanting to REDUCE the number of SL teams in Yorkshire.

Leigh are just too close to Wigan - again that wouldn't be expansion.

Widnes have an outside chance as have a Cumbria team - if anyone get's their act together sufficiently.

Toulouse would be seen as expansion, even though I don't think there'll be sufficient talent in France to sustain 2 x SL teams in the forseeable future. Therefore, a strong Aussie contingent would be ever present.

For the 2012 season (as long as qualifying rules are met by these clubs) I think that it will be either Toulouse, Widnes or a Cumbrian team.

For 2015 I can see a Scottish and an Irish team throwing their hats into the ring.

What goes around comes around.
I remember the original SL farce, where we and others were threatened with merger - one area was Cumbria and at the time it was a must that we had a SL team in Cumbria and the great and good plus the know it all fans said it must be so which is why we ended up with Workington in SL1.
sadly it didn't work but funny how nobody bangs on about this yet we see Harlequins and now Celtic Crusaders failing yet they will stay in SL at any price!
Funny that, will the RFL never learn?

I think superleague is struggling and most teams average crowds will be down as celtic quins and catalan don't bring any

Absolutely. Thats why I had a little bit of sympathy with Linda Riordan's Early Day Motion the other week in the House of Commons. Unfortunately the timing was terrible, but at least it was highlighting (sort of) the ridiculous licensing system.

Comparing Barrow with Halifax is like comparing Doncaster with St Helens ... totally ridiculous. Halifax is steeped in history with a bagful of honours. Erm WRONG ANSWER !!

I think you may find that Barrow RLFC has a very long history mate which includes appearances in the Challenge Cup Final (with a win) aswell as a Lancashire Cup Win against the odds. Add to this numerous League titles !

Halifax's honours count for nothing with the RFL and trust me if Barrow are in a position to apply for a Franchise in SL then you lot would be overlooked AGAIN. Like I keep saying, you have had long enough to sort your house out and get back into SL but have failed time and time again. Step aside and watch how an up and coming club Steeped in History gets its ar*e into the Top Flight. Barrow has a Chairman who is willing to put his money where his mouth is and back his coach with the players he wants. Watch this space as Barrow still have a few players lined up.

I wonder what your attitudes will be if you fail to win anything as in recent years ? You think you are something when fact is you have tried, tried and tried again and failed consistently.
