Not sure why it's madness, after a serious injury and months out he'll need to get match fitness and rebuild confidence before coming back into the first team - as we haven't got/ can't afford a reserve team seems a perfect way to achieve this.

Aye you can only play the cards you are dealt , without the Huddersfield reserves he’d have to go straight in from an horrific injury to a brutal championship game , I think overall we’ve balanced the duel reg relationship with Huddersfield well .

That is exactly what is going on here with Brad and clearly is the best option from what is available.
To have a policy which would just leave him ( and every other player in similar circumstances ) with no chance of getting back to where he was would be contrary to every normal sporting ethics.
The message of “we’ll throw you under a bus” if you play for Halifax Rugby League Club and get injured that would send out to him and every other player could end our retention and recruitment in a signal stroke.

This is obviously the right thing to do at the moment for Brad but taking the long term view...The longer we as a club are subservient to Salford, Castleford, Huddersfield, whoever, the longer we will stay where we are and where our SL superiors want us. Madness!

Another total misrepresentation of the facts and an insult to everyone associated with the club.
(Are you aware of the straw man principle where a person invents a situation that doesn’t actually exist and then proceeds to argue against it?)
Straw man. In this instance Fax being sub subservient to other clubs.
Reality. In this instance Brad Knowles is getting some much needed game time after months of gruelling rehab. (Who by the way I know is really hoping to have the chance to show what he can do and be awarded a new contract.)
Second Reality. We as a club have never been subservient to any club and never will be. The club are working there butts off in extremely difficult times and are making steady progress in the right direction.
Third reality. Unless they use what options are available when they think it benefits us this wouldn’t be the case the only direction we will head is downwards.

As i said, good for Brad, not too good for Fax. Look subservient up and tell me that dual reg doesn't fit that meaning. I haven't a clue what a straw man has to do with owt. Up The Fax!

What you actually said. First, Brad playing for Huddersfield reserves was madness.
Then a few posts later it becomes good for him.
Second, 3 main parties would be involved in the decision all with equal say in the matter and if any one of them said no thanks then it wouldn’t happen.
Taking into consideration the 2 main benefactors out of the 3 of them in this case are Brad and Fax that’s not a definition of being subservient, in fact it’s the exact opposite.
Third, the original post concerning Brad playing was to do with team selection from the 21 for the Batley game and with Brad turning out on Friday night very likely ruled him out, it really is as simple as that.
The pro’s and cons of DR as a concept were not being discussed in that post but was introduced by your good self again as were the imaginary subservient cataclysmic claims of what it would mean for us as a club.
Many years / seasons have passed since our first DR relationship with another club and if anything we are no worse, possibly slightly better than we were from that time and in any case where we are and where we will go in the longer term, DR will not be the deciding factor.
Obviously you do not understand the straw man principle but to do so just have a look in the mirror, or I could be just making it up.
