Bradford fans seem to be surprised they are getting outbid for players by the likes of York and Fax. Who is guessing out of those 3 teams who is in the worst position financially........

The accounts are for 12 months a go. To say you're in such a strong financial position you don't seem to be bringing in many players for your play-off push...

As pumpy said IF we were in for Keyes, and apart from you saying it, I've seen no one else say we put a bid for him, after 2 years of virtually no rugby, and at 25 years old, maybe the promise of being the main HB is a bigger lure than a pay cheque.

I’ve no idea if the bulls were in for Keyes. He’s a classy player at this level and IMO deserve a shot at super league so would be a great signing for Halifax. Just watch the injuries as he does seem to suffer.

But if Keyes does go to fax could that free up say Robinson? He was great at York and I’d happily take him at Bradford. He would likely be on less than Keyes would demand and probably fit in better rotating with Brough and Lilley.

I think someone mentioned he was under contract? But could he be released?

Either way re financials, my dads bigger than your dad and buying power etc all clubs are playing guesswork at the moment until we have a clue what central funding we are allowed once super league have had their feed

Yes as far as I'm concerned there would be a concern over the number of injuries Joe had picked up over the last couple of years, whether he comes to Fax or not I hope the lad has a run without them, plays well and enjoys his rugby.

I personally believe our buying power is roughly the same as you and York irrespective of debt identified in annual accounts, but we are just guessing about the money side of things to a degree. In fact you might be doing your club a disservice if you think Keyes would be joining you because you waved the biggest cheque. If you get him it's because you've got a competitive bid and a club he fancies being at which would be credit to Fax. He's a very good player at this level.

One one hand I would have liked to see him back at Bradford, on the other I don't know how we could run with Keyes, Lilley and Brough. It wouldn't seem to be a sensible recruitment, but that's not to say we didn't try to get him. As I say he's a good player and would be a huge asset to fax. Good luck.

I believe the plan was not to resign Lilley but that might change now. The thing is I don't even think we have out bid Bradford to sign Keyes.

I don't think its Robinson that will be leaving. Regarding the financials even without all the facts I think people are capable of making educated guesses based on how both teams have been ran recently.

Rumours seem to suggest it will be Harris moving on with him going back to York. Keyes is a quality signing and one we have been chasing for a while now and it does make it a little sweeter that Bradford thought they had him in the bag. I doubt it will be the last player that we beat Bradford to the punch to.

That's because we didn't. This Fax fan is making out they beat us to Keyes when it's not true. Lilley was always the only option.

You need to change your sources.
Bulls never offered Keyes a deal. We offered Jordan Lilley a new contract back in May and was never after Keyes. John Kear wants to build his team round Lilley. Lilley was one of first Bulls players to be offered a new deal. Negotiations took place regarding the salary hence the delay in announcing.

....and there's me thinking John Kear is a good knowledgeable coach. :D
