"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."― Albert Einstein "Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense." ― Gertrude Stein "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" ― Abraham Lincoln
How did he say it? It sounds as though he was just stating the obvious. Yes we meet the criteria but if the RFL dont want us in we wont get in.They wont expand the league so for us to get in that means dropping 2 teams. Wakey are 1 but who would be the other realistically. We know Crusaders are `exempt` and i cant see it been Salford and it would look ridiculous if it was Cas.

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
I won't disagree with his opinion , but once again ( Like Paul Cullen declaring that this year counts in the box ticking exercise ) SKY are shown up to not be in tune with what the RFL are saying , we saw all this at the last franchise application stage with Angela Powers rating clubs on critera that was not going to be used
As an aside , do you really want to be in SL next year ? , Widnes with all their resources are making a pigs ear of it , do you really think it would be any better for yourselves
When you can pull in 4,500 at the Shay for Championship games , they could not refuse you , until then stay where you are , get Matt to sort out a defence , and concentrate on building a fan base bigger than some SL clubs

Who in the championship is going to be able to pull in that sort of crowd though.
how can people pursuade new fans, come and pay £10 a week to watch all season to get nothing at the end of it.
we have had 2 great years in a row but we couldnt manage to get many more fans.
how can clubs pursuade new fans to come and watch the clubs in the championship when there effectively playing for nothing??

Not saying it is an easy thing to do , but the only guaranteed way of getting a SL place is via supporters numbers , it is that that has got Widnes back in , nothing else

Even Widnes havent been getting great attendances,
i can see a closed shop in terms of the Super Legaue coming in very soon, they can only increase the numbers so much, they will never kick the expansion teams out and they wouldnt have the bottle to kick some of the big names of Super League out.
i said it as soon as they brought the franchise system in and i still beleive it they will eventually be forced to bring back Promotion and Relegation
I thought it was a bit Irish the way he said it as well (pun blatantly intended ). Even with a bit of thought comparing us to other teams, there's certainly still not "no chance". Pundits shouldn't be looking at Wakey's, Quins', Wrexham's bid etc, then looking at ours and having a 'no chance' out burst.
Wrexham released their new Puma shirt last week btw. That shirt is to be used for the rest of the 2011 Season and the 2012 Super League season according to their Press release... Widnes did that little trick with their ST's as well before retracting it.
F**k it, if someone at the club is reading this, is there any chance you could bring something out, or sign a new sponsor and in the official Press release say it's for the rest of this year and the 2012 Super League season? Let's see what has to be said then....
