Odd isn't it that Halifax opened up the North stand for the Scallies in the NR semi final and their club and fans bleated about this that and the other prior to the game, come the league fixture at their ground and the tumbleweed can roll from one end of the ground to the other, untouched by human hand.
It's not really when you put things into perspective.
Widnes needed a stand of their own because they had well in excess of 1,000 fans making the journey. Fax cant claim to bring anywhere near this number.
It wouldnt make sense financially to open a stand for 250 fax fans, With stewarding costs, Bar staff costs etc. Again you could make a profit with enough fans but not for what we are probably expecting from you.
The Stobart stadium is much bigger than the Shay in its current state. The only team we open the away stand for is Leigh because they can bring the kind of support that makes it economical.
I would much rather they opened the away stand, it helps the atmosphere and keeps the overly drunk sections of both our support separate.
Out of interest how many Fans are you expecting to bring on Friday?
And i just want to point out im not trying to have a dig, the above post just seemed a little stupid when taking everything into consideration.
