"Everybody is a genius. There are some big games coming up near the bottom. These are the remaining fixtures for the clubs fighting out that last relegation place: I've left toulouse out as they can't go down. Also I expect Whitehaven to pick up points at home plus the odd away ones and included Sheffield as they are on a good run so the potential to have a bad run is always there.
What's interesting is Batley and Sheffield have the chance to put themselves in a commanding position in the next three or four weeks. Gateshead and Leigh could be battling out for that last spot. Although Gateshead play two of the other teams at home. This could be quite a finish, may even go down to points difference.
I think your right their mate.Lets look at the table when the next 3 games have finished. Then i think things can look more clear.Gateshead are playing better now with addition of aussies. Not fair i think and in my opinion i think the battle for relegation will between leigh and gateshead.
I'm sure this will help them avoid relagation and I'm glad to see him back TBH. I think he's a good RL character.
He is an absolute top class coach, who will get the best out of the team, but he doesnt start until next year, so I cant see how he can influence this seasons potential relegation battle.

I hadn't noticed that. Yes, he takes over next season so you're right.
Just a point. If Toulouse had a bad run and got pulled into the relegation zone and as they're immune from relegation does that mean that:
A) The team above them gets relegated instead.
B) Only 1 team gets relegated instead of 2 and only 1 team gets promoted.
C) Some other weird idea thought up by the usually totally inept RFL on the spur of the moment.

I went through the entire RFL news posts since last season and couldn't find a thing, however i did find this:
The bottom two clubs in The Co-operative Championship at the end of the regular season will be relegated. The only exception is that Toulouse Olympique are exempt from relegation and therefore should Toulouse finish in either tenth or eleventh place then the club finishing ninth will be relegated in their place.
