Matt Calland should have been eating a very large slice last night.
After his arrogant statement that "we will score a hundred against someone" his charges were unable to cope with a very well coached side who looked as though they were up for it and Fax looked incapable of coping with their style of play.They just expected to win.
The lad Hemmingway looked lost,
The Bowman brothers have looked really good when we have seen them.
Both they and Wrenchy would have given us more go forward.
Just wonder if Calland can get things sorted out as another performance like that and support will dwindle.
Impressed by Mark Aston and wonder how he would do with the quality of players Fax have?

Lay off Hemmingway?

How many times has he trained with us since he came? A handful.
Can't surely expect him to command a new team on his own in his first game!! jesus!

Merely said he looked Lost. true its probably down to only having trained a couple of times, but at the same time had no outstanding individual quality on show yesterday. Though as someone rightly pointed out, he was playing behind a beaten pack.

Still think young Bowman should get a go.

Yeah but i have read a few other comments about him on here.

Do you think Bowman would have brought anything different to the table yesterday? I don't.

We did not lay any platform at all in the forwards and were dominated by the Eagles front row.

Looked lost.....fact.
Having spoken to various people he is no better than we already have and nowhere near Super League standard. Thats why the Dwarfs have sent both him and Walsh into potential part time football
Lets face it Calland was expecting an easy ride and did not get his team up for a possible tough game.
Its a big step up from coaching Rochdale Mayfield to a top of the league team. With the quality of players he has we should do better or we will slip like Widnes.
Out thought by a seasoned pro coach.
In real world now Matt.
Lets hope its a wake up call.If we don`t do it this season there will be no money in the future and we can just become also rans.

bit harsh after one defeat.good teams/coaches bounce back.lets see what next few weeks brings.

Blimey one defeat and people are having a go at the coaching staff Very harsh on MC considering the job he had done since he joined Fax. Not all the Blame can soley be put on the Coach as its not him on the pitch. Personally i think we will bounce back strongley come Thursday night , i'm sure the player wouldnt of been very happy with there performances so they will be out to impress once again! Come on lets get behind the club and not give them stick after one bad performence. Up The Fax!!

Everyone is entitled to their opiion. Hope I am wrong but I just get a feeling??????Just wonder if there are other reasons for such a flat performance?
Pride comes before fall and all this 100 Points and country mile stuff does nothing to endear us to the rest of the league.
The man should keep his trap shut and instead of telling his players its not good enough hold his hand up and admit his short comings as well.
Its ok scoring points with gay abandon but when the going gets tough?
We will see.
