If you are a regular visitor to theshaymen.net forum, you will know that over the years I have stuck up for Fax in relation to the pitch use. It is fair to say the pitch isnt fit for use, but thats not the fault of Fax or FCHT. Its the nature of dual use and a lack of investment in the pitch over many years.
I've noticed in the recent few discussions on there that you have remained quiet , unfortunately you have been party to the ongoing vitriol against the rugby club , I would probably say that that forum is an example of how to stir up hatred against an organisation , a mix of uneducated unchallenged nonsense where every fault of the rugby club is examined with a microscope and filled out with false narrative bs , yet all the sins of the footy club are conveniently overlooked .There's a reason why that forum is a closed forum , because if was public it would be shut down imminently. Anyone connected to that forum should have no involvement in the running of the shay, I would advise you to fall on your sword before you even consider unsheathing it for battle.

1) You are incorrect. Yes, I may have spoken out over the years about the conduct of those running Fax, but regardless I am pro-Halifax Panthers and the value they bring to the town. There is a difference between the two...just as I am pro-FCHT but against the current owner. 2) Any 'unchallenged' nonsense, can be challenged! 3) Yes, you need to register to use the forum, as you do this one. This was due to an avalanche of spam-users a number of years ago. Even if it was 'public' who would shut it down and for what reasons? Registering is available to anybody so I am at a loss to what you are on about. 4) I am not sure what my involvement with the forum has in connection to the working party. I can back up my past in relation to the Shay and the value I believe it has to the local community, which is hugely influenced by having two solid/successful sporting teams as tenants. If people dont like me or things I have said in the past or future, fine. Its not a popularity contest. I know with Fax fans, my reputation (if I had one) was tarnished with the Tony Abbott affair, for which I was proven right. That wasnt due to any negative feeling towards the rugby club. As for 'unsheathing it for battle', I dont have a clue what you are on about.
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."― Albert Einstein "Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense." ― Gertrude Stein "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" ― Abraham Lincoln
No problem at all with the majority of people on this working group but to have Hoddie as part of it, I really can't see it going far. He has clearly stated a strong hatred for Fax and that he would be happy for us to go belly up. There is no way you can have an independant group which should have the interests of both clubs at heart with a person who despises one of those clubs.
It would be nice to have some Fax involment as part of the group but I reckon they will be keeping their cards close to their chests and hoping that another group can close a deal to purchase the Shay. Its hard to say what would be the best outcome for both clubs but the main thing has to be to sort the pitch out to help increase potential revenue streams.

There can not be any softening to let that lot worm there way to get any support. Literally give those lot an inch and they will take a mile (and then say it is all theirs anyway)
They are a danger in that stunts like last seasons playing on the pitch put pressure on our club and put us at risk. They have already had a big hand in killing one football club ,yet some want to try work with them and help them now?
How much have we lost in the past month or two because of this shower? How did playing away impact us for our playoff run/push and the lost income - how much is that going to impact us next season?
They are currently actively hurting our club. There can be no co-existing with people who do everything possible to cause us damage with no remorse.
SQUATTERS OUT.
I'm now in this camp. I've tried to see things from fax point of view as i used enjoy watching them and there are decent supporters and some good, long members of staff. But they have been let down by liars, scheisters, chances...
If you don't mind me saying, guys, if you think that Hoddie shaymen forum is so full of idiots and vitriol why are you bothering to read it? You're just getting sucked in and letting it wind you up. Just ignore it!
Apologies. I was waiting for you to reply to the points I'd made to your post. Which is usually how it works.
Apologies, I did .I dont need to bullet point every statement you made , I'll be candid , I sped read it , you hoddie , and the majority of that forum are anti rugby , which is why you refer to us in the negative way you do . I've been on and off the shaymen forum for years and the message is and always will be squatters out. Might come to bite you in the booty that saying.

Hey, it's no skin off my nose if our proposal has no legs. I'm a volunteer trying to do something positive as opposed to the risk of the council selling it to someone who may not necessarily have the best interests of our clubs as priority.
What I would say is that I've been a vociferous critic of the football club owner over his ownership of the football club. And similarly over the years with those running fax. They are two separate entities...owners and clubs. At least I'm consistent, regardless of which club it is which should count for something. I want two successful club in a stable and thriving setting, and that's what this boils down to for me.
You have an agenda. The working group has been nothing but positive and ambitious in relation to the two clubs. There is no agenda other than wanting what's best for both clubs so they can focus on on field matters.
But I'll leave it there. Some people won't be won over...some people don't want to be won over. I'm fully committed to what we want to achieve, and as a group it's nothing but the best intentions. But I certainly won't be concerned about people chucking mud.
